How LitLocalDay handles encrypted local plans, AI processing, location and your privacy choices.
About this policy and the operator
LitLocalDay at https://litlocalday.com is a free, account-free daily planner. This policy describes the current web app, including AI planning and the optional calendar assistant; it does not govern independent event, map or organizer websites. LitLocalDay is the service name, not a statement of a registered legal entity. Publication note: the operator’s legal name and a working privacy-contact channel have not yet been supplied. These details and any jurisdiction-specific disclosures must be completed before this document is treated as a finalized legal notice.
Local planner information
Your browser stores your task lists, commitments, day plans, dates, chosen suggestions, completion state, ratings, feedback, chosen name, starting location, coordinates, interests and preferences. These current planner records are kept in IndexedDB, not as cloud planner entities. Navigation state may also use session storage. Record identifiers and collection labels are not encrypted. Information sent to AI is a separate processing activity and may be retained outside your browser, as explained below.
Encryption and access on your device
Stored record contents use AES-GCM encryption with a randomly generated, non-exportable 256-bit key held in the same browser. This protects stored contents but is not a password-protected vault or end-to-end encryption for AI requests. The app can decrypt records automatically. Anyone using your unlocked browser, malicious software, a compromised extension or malicious code running on this origin may access them. Use a trusted device and secure your screen and browser profile.
Device, browser and domain boundaries
Plans do not automatically sync across devices, browser profiles or domains. Data saved on an earlier site address remains associated with that origin and is not automatically copied to litlocalday.com. Clearing storage, private-browsing rules, browser eviction or losing your device or key can permanently remove access; current local plans have no cloud recovery. Export from the browser and origin that hold your records before changing devices or deleting storage. Internal compatibility storage names may retain the former brand to preserve existing data.
AI task sorting and local discovery
When you request AI sorting, task text, clarifications and the relevant planning date are sent through Base44 to AI services. Local discovery may additionally send your starting location, interests, source choices, priorities, schedule, commitments and recent planning feedback. Search-enabled features can use relevant details in web queries to find activities. Processing requires an internet connection. Local saving does not mean that AI features run entirely on your device. Do not submit passwords, payment credentials, government identifiers, highly sensitive health information or someone else’s private information.
Optional assistant conversations
Sending a message to the calendar assistant shares that message and a bounded snapshot of the selected day, including item titles, dates, times, status, suggestion alternatives, relevant interests and pending changes. Base44 hosts these conversations separately from the encrypted local planner; they may be available to the operator for operation and troubleshooting. Cross-conversation assistant memory is disabled, but this does not delete chat history or prevent the current conversation from being used as context. New chat resets the visible conversation, not hosted retention. The assistant has no configured cloud entity, backend-function or connected-account permissions; validated changes are applied by this browser.
Assistant safeguards and their limits
The app validates supported actions and rejects unsupported fields and stale calendar responses. Conflict reschedules and sensitive actions have a confirmation step; deletion, day rebuilds, preference changes, exports, discovery refreshes and clearing local data require the relevant confirmation button. Assistant-rendered images and raw HTML are disabled to avoid automatic external loads. These safeguards reduce risk but cannot guarantee that every AI answer is accurate or that prompt injection is impossible. Review proposals and verify fixed appointments before relying on a changed plan.
Location permission and map links
You can type a location rather than granting browser location permission. Permission is requested when you use the location feature; the app does not continuously track your movement. Saved coordinates and addresses remain local unless needed for a requested AI/discovery action. Opening directions can disclose the origin and destination to Apple Maps or Google Maps. Revoke location permission in your browser or device settings and edit or clear the saved location in the planner.
Outside listings and service providers
Base44 provides hosting, agent conversations and AI integration infrastructure, and its AI/search service providers process relevant requests. Event listings, organizer pages and map providers independently process information when you open their sites or register. Their privacy notices and terms apply to those interactions. The planner does not make event registrations or ticket purchases for you. Providers may retain inputs, outputs and service records under their own terms; this policy does not promise zero retention, exclusion from training or a fixed provider deletion period that has not been verified.
Purposes and legal bases where applicable
Information is used to organize the inputs you submit, discover relevant local activities, respond to assistant requests, save requested local state, maintain reliability, detect misuse and comply with legal obligations. Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, it may include performance of the service you request, legitimate interests in proportionate security and reliability, legal obligations, or consent for an optional feature. Browser location permission is not blanket consent to unrelated advertising or tracking. Any processing requiring consent must allow withdrawal without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Infrastructure logs and anonymous use
Account-free does not mean that no information reaches hosting or AI providers. Infrastructure may process IP addresses, timestamps, request/error information and browser/device information for delivery, security and troubleshooting. Planning endpoints apply bounded-input checks and a short-lived per-instance abuse guard; that guard is not a distributed limit and does not govern hosted assistant APIs. Infrastructure and service quotas may also limit requests. Do not place secrets in task text or URLs.
Browser storage, fonts and tracking
Essential browser storage supports encrypted planning, the local encryption key and navigation. The app uses its hosting platform’s built-in analytics to count anonymous usage, such as visits, plans started and plans completed. These events do not include your tasks, plan contents, location or name. No advertising tags are installed in the reviewed source. Fonts and hosting assets may be fetched from external providers, which receive ordinary connection information. Platform-managed analytics or recording can be configured separately; this notice does not certify their live dashboard settings. If nonessential tracking is enabled later, it must be disclosed and consent-gated where law requires. Legacy login pages can use authentication tokens when deliberately visited; signing in is not required for planning.
Retention and local deletion
Local records remain until you reset plans, clear local data, clear site storage or the browser removes them. Reset plans preserves your profile/preferences; clear local data removes current local planner records, but does not promise secure wiping of device backups or destruction of every browser artifact. Hosted conversations, provider-held AI requests, security logs and historical cloud or payment records follow separate retention requirements. Local clearing and New chat do not delete them, and backups or records needed for legal obligations may remain. No unverified universal retention period is promised.
Exports and practical privacy choices
Settings lets you edit local preferences, export local records, reset plans and clear local data. Export files are readable, unencrypted JSON and may contain names, addresses, tasks and schedules; protect downloads and backups and delete unneeded copies. Exports do not include hosted assistant conversations or provider logs. You can avoid optional location permission, avoid AI submissions by not invoking AI actions, and choose which event sources to use. Avoid sharing a browser profile with people who should not access your plans.
Rights under applicable law
Depending on your location and applicable exceptions, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, export or restrict information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and complain to the appropriate regulator. EEA/UK rights depend on the processing and legal basis. Eligible US residents may have additional notice, access, correction, deletion, portability, appeal or opt-out rights under their state laws. The app source does not contain a data-sale or targeted-advertising feature; this is not a certification of every provider practice. We will not discriminate for exercising applicable rights. Identity verification, third-party rights and legal retention obligations can limit a request.
Requests involving hosted or historical data
Local controls operate on records in the current browser and origin. Requests concerning hosted assistant conversations, infrastructure records or earlier account-based data require the operator or the relevant provider and may require identifying the relevant conversation or earlier account. An anonymous planner does not create a verified email identity for matching those records. Operator identity and a rights-request contact channel still need to be supplied; do not send sensitive verification documents through the planning assistant. Earlier cloud records are not automatically imported or erased by the rebrand.
International processing and age limits
Hosting and AI providers may process submitted information outside your country. Where required, the operator must ensure appropriate legal transfer safeguards under the relevant provider agreements; this policy does not identify a transfer mechanism that has not been confirmed. LitLocalDay is intended for adults aged 18 or older and is not directed at children. Do not submit children’s personal information; any suspected collection must be addressed through the completed operator contact channel.
Policy changes
This policy was updated on October 11, 2026 for the LitLocalDay name and litlocalday.com address. Future material changes should be communicated through the app before materially different processing begins, with further notice or consent where legally required. The version published here governs the described current practices; it does not retroactively authorize new uses of previously submitted data.
